Overview
This Privacy Policy explains what information Topfolio collects when you browse the leaderboard, submit a portfolio, or place a bid, and how that information is used. By using Topfolio you agree to the practices described here.
Information we collect
We keep data collection to the minimum needed to run the leaderboard and understand its usage.
- Visitor identifier: an anonymous ID stored in a cookie so we can count unique visitors and avoid double-counting the same browser.
- Analytics events: heartbeat pings used to display the live-user count, aggregate total-visitor counts, and clicks on portfolio links.
- Portfolio submissions: the portfolio URL, display name, and category you provide when claiming a position.
- Payment metadata: the bid amount and confirmation status returned by our payment processor.
Payments
Leaderboard bids are processed by Dodo Payments, our third-party payment provider. Card and billing details are entered on Dodo Payments's secure checkout and are never stored on Topfolio's servers. We only receive confirmation that a payment succeeded along with its amount, which sets your all-time position.
How we use information
- To display live users, total visitors, and per-portfolio click counts.
- To rank portfolios by their highest verified single payment.
- To operate, secure, and improve the service.
- To detect and prevent abuse or fraudulent bids.
Data retention and security
Analytics and submission data are stored in our managed Neon Postgres database and retained for as long as the leaderboard operates. We apply reasonable technical measures to protect this data, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

The leaderboard links out to portfolios and profiles hosted by third parties. We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of those external sites.
